Liz Spradling is an excellent teacher on a personal and professional level. She is very knowledgeable on the subject of Physics, and understands the rigors of being a student during the end of their High School education.

Ms. Spradling is an amazing teacher, mentor, and life counselor. Whether you are exceeding all expectations as an honor student or struggling to pass your class, she will be able to relate to you and transfer the information in a way that will directly translate to your test scores.
Although “Sprad” is a great instructor in the classroom setting, her greatest resources are her life experiences. As a student, it is rare to come across a teacher who really cares not only about your grades but about your future and livelihood. She is most definitely one of those teachers, and because of this I have kept a close bond and stayed in touch with Ms. Spradling throughout my four years of college and the beginning of my professional career. I highly recommend Ms. Spradling for any student looking for that extra motivation!

Liz Spradling is the sassiest teacher I’ve ever had and the only teacher that ever made physics seem cool and easy. She is always quick to pick up on how her students are feeling each day and strives to meet their needs to promote her students’ learning by any means necessary. I find her to be one of the most encouraging, hard-working, and motivating teachers I’ve ever had. She always made everyone feel important and capable of being a better student, but also a better person. I’m currently majoring in middle school math education at TCU and hope to bring at least half as much enthusiasm and compassion to my future students just as she did for me.
Thank you Sprad for all that you did for me and continue to do with students.

As a student who struggled at times with Physics, Sprad was the perfect teacher. I’ve never had the slightest interest in Physics or sciences in general but I looked forward to Spradling’s class every day due to her infectious enthusiasm. Also she was always available for extra help to those who needed it (or just wanted some early morning donuts). High recomend Sprad as a teacher for ANY course, but especially Physics. Go Stangs.

Mrs. Spradling is the BEST when it comes to Physics! She made the class an enjoyable experience which made it so easy to learn. She engages her students in a way that allows them to reach their full potential. She has a big heart and cares a whole lot about her kids. I would highly reccommend Mrs. Spradling!

Mrs. Spradling had an amazing way of bringing Physics to life for me when I was in her class. Though it is a topic that has never come easy to me, I looked forward to her class everyday and ultimately walked away feeling more confident in everything I do academically. I cannot say enough amazing things about Sprad and her amazing gifts as a teacher. Without a doubt the best I have had!

I had Mrs. Spradling for 7th grade Science, and to this day I still count her as one of the absolute best teachers I have ever had. Not only does she make sense of the material, but she makes it fun. For someone who does not excel at Science naturally, she made it so much easier for me to grasp the concepts she covered in class. She really knows how to connect with her students on a personal level, which really helps her to hone in on what they need help with. I would highly recommend sending your student to her for any additional help they need. If she is able to connect with students so well in a classroom setting, I can only imagine how much better it is in a one-on-one or small group setting.

Mrs. Spradling is an amazing teacher. I have never excelled at science, but Sprad not only made it easier to learn, she also made it fun. The difference between Mrs. Sprad and other teachers is that she actually cares. She makes her student’s success her main priority. I will always have a special place in my heart for Mrs. Spradling.

Mrs. Spradling made high school science interesting and fun. As most know, a typical high school student’s day consists of the latest gossip, who’s dating who, and what’s going on in the world of sports. But in class, she integrated all of these aspects while learning the material in a fun and integrative way. She maintained a great balance of the teacher/friend relationship that allowed us to actually look forward to going to physics (shocking right? even it started at 7:50 am). I love her dearly as an educator, friend, and leader, and I hope there are teachers who have learned/continued her style of education 🙂

Mrs. Spradling is a phenomenal physics teacher who pushes, encourages and supports her students in all of the work they do in and out of the classroom. She was able to make physics understandable and relatable, and even fun! As not only a wonderful teacher, but also leader and friend she genuinely cares about her students as individuals and will do anything in her power to help them succeed. I am definitely not naturally a “science person”, but Mrs. Spradling took a subject that could have been awful and made it understandable and enjoyable! She is a rare type of teacher that can connect with all of her students and use those connections to enhance their learning in the classroom! I would recommend her to any student!

The only fault of having Mrs. Spradling as one of my previous teachers is that any teacher I’ve had afterwards has seemed almost disappointing in comparison to Sprad. There hasn’t been another teacher who so genuinely cares about her students and their success in her class and even in life, than Mrs. Spradling. She makes every one of her students feel important and included within the learning experience. Physics can be quite difficult and complex to comprehend but Mrs. Spradling explains the subject matter as clear, simple and most importantly, relatable which made it easy to understand and remember what we’ve learned. Her class was always one I would look forward in attending, as she made it a positive, fun and an enjoyable environment.
Her sincere desire and enthusiasm for her students to be successful had a lasting effect, as it made us strive to work our hardest in not only her class but in the rest of our academics. Mrs. Spradling is a phenomenal person and teacher that her students can always rely on. Choosing any other physics teacher besides Mrs. Spradling would simply be a mistake and a loss. I strongly recommend her to any student. She’s the best in the business! 🙂

Yes, Sprad is the best physics teacher to ever grace the halls of Memorial High School, or any school for that matter. She understands physics at an unreal level and then brings it down to a level that all of her students can comprehend, from the kids who should be in AP to the ones that are taking a victory lap around the physics track. The other “endorsements” can tell you all you need to know about that stuff.
She’s absolutely more than just a physics teacher or tutor. She is an educator. She legitimately cares if you understand what she’s saying- and more than that she cares about you as a human. In her class you are not just another name on another roster, you are a kid worthy of her time and worth more than just a test score.
She doesn’t march into a classroom and demand respect, but instead, she goes into it and is real with you. She earns the right to be heard just as you end up earning your grade. She tells you when you’re being a stubborn, pain-in-the-butt high-schooler and allows you to reserve the right to ask questions (on all levels of the stupid scale) and to tell her when [you think- spoiler alert, you’re wrong] she is being a pain-in-the-butt teacher.
The fact of the matter is she cares- a whole lot more than she will ever tell you, and once you figure it out, she’ll deny it. But, she loves her students and she loves what she teaches. It’s a winning combination. I still don’t like physics, but I’d take her class again- no questions asked.

As a student who always had problems with lack of motivation and laziness, Mrs. Spradling was one of the few people who were able to ever motivate me to succeed academically. She knows how to tap into her students minds and enable them suceeed. Her passion goes beyond teaching. She truly wants her students to do well in all areas, not just academics. Oh, and she knows a lot about physics. a lot.

Miss Spradling was the only science teacher I had throughout school that actually made science fun and enjoyable. I actually looked forward to her physics class, instead of dreading it like I did every other science class. Spradling was easily available to us when we needed help, gave amazing reviews for tests, and just generally made learning fun. I was very lucky to have her as my high school physics teacher.

If you’re a parent or student concerned about physics, you’ve found the solution. Mrs. Spradling consistently demonstrated a desire to help all of her students succeed academically and better themselves as individuals. I believe that her teaching methods, guidance, and sincere interest in her students’ wellbeing were instrumental to my academic turn around, and I hope you decide to give yourself or your child the same opportunity to benefit from her help that I enjoyed. To summarize my experiences with Mrs. Spradling–both as a mentor and a teacher–I would use the following words: talented, relatable, understanding, patient, knowledgeable, qualified, and genuinely invested. A notable physicist once said “God does not play dice with the universe;” I would strongly recommend working with Mrs. Spradling if you’re interested in removing some unpredictability from upcoming report cards.

Personally, I never had Sprad as my physics teacher, but we met when she was my advisory teacher at MHS. She left Memorial the following year, and I heard she was starting to tutor from one of my friends. I didn’t think much of it because I never really had needed a tutor before. Then, I took PreAP physics, and I was at a loss with the subject. Normally, I excelled in science, but with physics, I just could not grasp the concepts. That is when I turned to Sprad to tutor me and save my physics grade. I went to her almost every week whether it was in a group or one-on-one setting, and she was amazing every time. I learntWith her help and guidance, I made an A in physics, which was something I was not expecting. I cannot say enough good things about Sprad. She is an amazing teacher, but most of all, I enjoyed learning with her. She was there for me in an educational setting, but also gave rocking life advice as well. I don’t think anyone would regret getting the opportunity to have Sprad in their life.

Mrs. Spradling was not just one of my favorite teachers she was one of my best teachers I ever had in high school. As a senior in college I still remember her and how she strived to ensure that every student who entered her class had a fighting chance to learn physics, have fun while doing it, and support them both as a teacher but also as a great mentor. I worked hard for her because I knew how hard she worked for me and she will continue to inspire other young minds to do the same. Physics was made to be something interesting in her hands where I thought there was only numbers and equations. I was lucky enough to be in one of her last classes before she left Memorial. Anybody who has her on their team will be so lucky not just because they’ll show improvement in physics but because she is simply an inspiring person.
I still remember the day she ran into class and gave every single one of us pencils she had gotten blessed for us for finals. I still have that pencil, and if that doesn’t prove what she’ll do for any of her students, I don’t know what will.

I was never any good at math or science and since physics is essentially a combination of both, I knew I was going to be in trouble. Luckily, Sprad is the kind of teacher who can explain something in a way that is very easy to understand. If I had any other physics teacher then I probably would have failed but with Sprad I pulled off a solid B.

Mrs. Spradling helped me get organized and plan my schedule out. After entering a hard grade with covid, virtual, and in person classes, it was tough getting used to everything and for the first few weeks of school, I was overwhelmed. This past week I had six tests and one pop quiz. I was engulfed with work, studying, etc. I went to Mrs. Spradling and asked for help. She was AMAZING! I learned how to organize my whole week and how to plan out a balanced schedule with extra time to do things that I like. I totally recommend Mrs. Spradling. She’s worth every minute!
